Just now entering our fiftieth year of married life. That works out at 17,898 days and scarcely a score of them away from each other, and never a day regretted.

I don't seem to be able to get rid of cook, what ever i do.
I think we have only had a few days apart, but not as many years together as Alan and his wife. Not sure how many years cook has been about, and there's no way i'm going to ask her.

Hmmm, we've some way to go for that, just another 27 years, but a blink of the eye.

Congratulations Alan. Always remember that good wine matures with age

. Hope you are doing something nice to celebrate.

Hi Primrose
The something nice is being together and having a good Welsh Black fillet steak tonight
For our 25th, 24 years ago, we went to Hong Kong. Can't face anything like that next year when 50 comes around. See what I mean about "feeling my age"?

As a friend who's older than me joked the other day, "When you're young and go out on an outing, you want to know where the pubs are. When you get to my age, you want to know where the public lavatories are".

Take care OH.
If the 'kitchen lady' gets hold of the rolling pin after reading this you could be in big trouble!

Congratulation, We celebrated 25 years from our first meeting on Boxing Day (both been married before and divorced) so I made a stroganoff and matchstick chips (Rick Steins recipe) been doing it for the last 23 years on Boxing Day.
