FISH DUMPING AND YOUR MEP

It's been 2 years since Fish Fight released our viral video about discards and started the campaign to end this crazy waste of fish. With your help we've had a huge impact in Brussels. Most significantly, Europe's fisheries ministers agreed in June 2012 that discards of important species like cod and haddock should end. But that's not the end of the road...
The future of the CFP is now in the hands of the European Parliament, made up of the MEPs we all elect to represent us in Europe. And over the next few months they will be voting on whether or not to end discards.
Tomorrow - the 18th December - 25 MEPs who make up the specialist EU Fisheries Committee will be voting YES or NO to a discard ban. Specifically we want them all to VOTE YES to COMP AMENDMENT 32 WITH THE CALENDAR. If they do it will mean ending discards within a clear and realistic timeframe.
