Where do the butterflies go ?

Thanks for that. I usually find BBC articles but missed that one.

Despite their fragility it is amazing the journey they achieve

NB, one of our sons (a keen nature watcher) was stationed on Ascension Island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean for 18 months and he observed a surprising range of butterflies, including monarchs and painted ladies, during his time there.

We have seen a monarch on Walney Island in Morecambe Bay in the past. Unfortunately, it was very tatty and tired and probably died soon afterwards.
