Hot Spiced Apple Juice - New York Style

Okay here 'tis, as requested, ala 'recipe'. This is the closest we have come to recreating that which we first tried in New York at the end of last year - divine!
Pour a carton of fresh apple juice into a saucepan with a cinnamon stick and leave to soak for 2-3 hours. Then gently heat and pour when ready.
Hardly a recipe is it? We did have trouble getting the cinnamon flavour in, but soaking for a few hours helps. Cinnamon powder didn't dissolve. We have also added Calvados and Polish apple vodka, respectively. Nice, but still not as close to the New York taste as what we have now.
It is a great drink for cold weather and somehow heating the apple juice takes away some of the sweetness it has when cold and makes it quite tangy.
