I have to apologise to you as I typed a long message earlier in the week to say thank you for your kind messages and I thought I had posted it. And I have come on here tonight and it is not there. I don't know what happened but its gone

So I am retyping a bit of what I put earlier in the week. Thank you for your birthday wishes, we have had an absolutely fabulous weekend. We came home feeling like we had had a whole week instead of a four days. The cottage was brilliant and the weather the same. We met some really interesting people on our walks and although we stayed in to eat every night (which we both prefer) we ate and drank really well

Geoff, I am sorry we did not see you but we did not want to call unannounced, we probably would have called over the fence to you if you had been in the garden and I was so impressed with what we could see. Your neighbour's dog came to welcome us as we walked past, which is why we stopped to chat to your neighbour. Maybe next time.
