Preserving Vine leaves.

If you have a grapevine now is the time to preserve some vine leaves for Dolmades, leaves full but still tender and clean, Here is a link for instructions how to preserve them in brine. Who knows we could get very creative /adventurous with the stuffing using rice, breadcrumbs, cous cous or similar and meat fish or veg in the recipes and spices or herbs of choice.

Glad it was useful Westi - on my list tomorrow too, useful that they showed best leaves to pick too. we can make the dolmades at our leisure in the winter, let me know if you have any good recipes :D Thinning the leaves a bit should help the fruit to ripen quicker too, masses of grapes on ours this year, I should be able to supply mums nursing home ! :o Plenty rain so they are swelling well and the leaves look very healthy.
