I'm not usually given to sentimentality over animals, but I just couldn't resist getting a photo of this trio we spotted in the fields near Llanfihangel-y-traethau last week. Couldn't resist the pure black ears, eyes, noses, knees and ankles.

Something that struck me many years ago visiting the Derbyshire Dales at lambing time, there is always 2 lambs to every mum.

This Kerry is not the Irish ChiarraĆ, but the Welsh commote of Ceri in Powys.
