Curly Hose Pipes

Probably properly called coiled hose pipes, like this:

Has anybody got a sensible life span out of one of these?
I am on my third for watering the cold greenhouse and it has started kinking. Is it me not managing it properly and getting twists in it or are they really barely fit for purpose? Admittedly I usually buy by price but none of them look much different.

And you say you are on your third? ! ? ! Takes a while to sink in. The 'management' thought these would be good airlines in the workshop, they lasted ten minutes before being slung in the skip.

Management = lighthouse in the desert, brilliant but bleedin' useless.

Afternoon Geoff, mine did last three years but, everytime i hung it up out of the way, it somehow would get tangled up together, i would then have to spend five minutes getting the coils separated.
So it's back to wateringcan or hosepipe, now.

We got a couple of them and think they're as much use as a chocolate fireguard. As dear OH says, they tangle up so much, they are a waste of time and we never use them now.

On reflection I think I have only had two - seems like more!
I am pleased it is not just me. You wonder sometimes why products stay on sale that just don't work.
