Just thought I would share this with everyone..planted all my onions/shallots etc and erected some new bird scarers .I recently purchased from pound land 6 of those kiddies wind socks , bright and colourfull and all for a pound each.The socks are attatched to 8 foot bamboo canes and since these went up I have had no bird damage or jackdaws pulling up my nicely growing onions and shallots.
They blow almost continually with the slightest breeze , look colourfull and my grandson just loves them !!..

Well they work well for me !!!

Morning thetangoman, i think it's a first class idea, and can see it catching on when people realize it works.

We have two cats.. hey though, maybe some of these would deter the cattle from getting in?

Maybe too they would scare the cats off newly planted beds... sheesh; no such shop here!
