Harlequin Ladybird Survey

Just heard an item on GQT about the Harlequin Ladybird and the survey being undertaken.
Gardeners are invited / requested to take part and record any sightings.

Yes, I listened to that too. Sounds as if they're pretty hard to identify accurately. Apparently the most obvious clue is that they have brown legs - the number of spots can vary tremendously and the head markings are not definitive either.

It's worth taking a look at harlequin ladybird larvae photos as I think they are even easier to identify than the adults.
Harlequin larvae are more spiky. Is this survey still active as it was started in 2009
