Goji berries

Hi,
I have 3 Goji berry bushes which I bought about 3 years ago. One is in a large container in the back garden and the other 2 are over in the allotment in the fruit cage alongside a cherry tree and a plum tree. The trouble is the growth of the Goji is prolific and though they have flowered I have never had any fruit off them. When I bought them the literature assured me that very soon I would have a crop of berries. I find that their growing pattern is not like any other plant I have and they do tend to flower quite late in the season. Does anybody have any idea what is wrong with them? I am considering digging them up but am reluctant to as they are otherwise healthy plants.

Regards
Mike

what happens when the floweres die off , do they snap off in the wind or did they dry on the bush ?

They dont want to be in to much sunshine and should be allowed to dry out on well drained soil before watering again , dont leave them wet

The flowers just sort of dry up. 2 of the bushes are in the ground and don't get watered. The third is in a large pot and that gets water when it starts to dry out.
In the summer all the bushes get the sun late in the morning and then most of the afternoon. On the allotment plot there is a large house to the south just a few yards from the boundary fence. Not the most ideal of locations but the plum tree is happy and gave a load of fruit for the first time last year. The cherry tree is still young and set a few cherries last year but they dropped off.

The flowers wont germinate if sat in strong sun all day, try moving the potted one to a area where it only gets morning sun , Then see if that makes a difference next year , if it does you may need to move the other 2 , As long as the flowers dry out and dont snap off to early then the water is not a problem.
