Merry Christmas everybody
Off to Southend for the day shortly.
Monty the dog has gone to his friends who live next to the allotment site for a few days. Probably getting spoilt rotten

Happy Christmas,
Uncle is joining us for Christmas lunch today... calling to pick him up after a visit in to work.
I will put out some lunch for Craig and Committee Kittee whilst at work.
Perhaps a bit more Winter digging will be progressed a little later at home here.
..and a photo from last year...
Clive.

Echo Merry Christmas to everybody.
Yes Clive, what a difference a year makes. Damp drizzly morning adding to the general squelch underfoot - no chance of digging here.
First Christmas on our own this year. Son is working (GP at Brixton Prison). Probably just as well, we are not fit enough to mix with anyone, full of colds.

Merry Christmas everyone.
Just about to go to dig some leeks to go with the turkey.
Overcast, damp and chilly here, so perhaps when I return I'll have to sample the Kenmore special reserve blended 5 year old Scotch whisky that my wife gave me.

Mild with a bit of a breeze here - as if I didn't have enough to do got a wash load out on the line which I have just got in. It is not completely dry but won't take long indoors. Also tidied up the canes and things behind the greenhouse and raked the (hopefully last) leaves off the lawn. All the time with hubby on oven watch which turned out successful and now have that pleasant glow from over eating (and the glass of champagne).
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
Westi

Uncle has just been returned home after his day out and, he reckons, 5th Christmas lunch out this year.
..and I did achieve a little bit of digging before lunch and late afternoon.
Clive.

Last of the guests have just left, i think they have all had a good time, well i hope they did. But i must admit they did look a little surprised at the amount of food i can consume, actually, i'm just having a turkey sandwich...
Cook certainly done us proud.
Anyway, i got a couple of lovely old wildlife books so very pleased.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Day or, indeed, are still enjoying it!
Rather damp here, but we had a splendid lunch with home-grown veggies, just my OH and I, and then sat down to enjoy all our reading material which we have bought each other, that is, chosen by ourselves. Mine includes "All Hell let loose" by Max Hastings, an impressive tome, recommended by one of our sons and, having grown up in the middle of it all in Europe, I look forward to reading it. At the moment, though, I am enjoying the history of a rather splendid Victorian mansion, built by Sir Titus Salt's son of Saltaire, and demolished in the 1950s. A fascinating story. My children used to do their cross country runs from school in the mansion grounds!
Spoke to all our offspring and their offspring, far and near, on the phone.

Merry Christmas to everyone. Very grey and overcast but not unpleasant.
We have had a very lazy day as we are both suffering from head colds our planned walk did not materialise. Instead we are sitting in front of a lovely fire having eaten our Christmas dinner of roast lamb and all the trimmings.
