I grew some tomatoes in my greenhouse, but they were affected by late blight. Can I put the contents of the grow bags into the compost heap? or will this spread the bug?

Yes, you can. But I reuse my tomato grow bags the following year for other crops such as peppers, cucumbers etc and also for potting up plants. It is too valuable to just use once.
