Don't laugh OH - but I have seen a delivery by sled recently - thinking of getting a goat and taking it out to the local woods to forage.

We went out by car today for the first time since Monday after two kind neighbours heavily salted the steep slope of our road. The main roads were all clear of snow and mainly clear of traffic! Never got through town as fast as today! Tomorrow it will be back to shank's pony though, simply because I like walking in snow!
On Tuesday, my usual 35 minute walk into town took much longer because it was like walking in a sand dune, I was for ever slipping back up the hills. The pavements seemed to have iced over now, so I think they will be more precarious to walk on. Jolly good exercise, though, nearly as good as winter digging.

My work colleague tells me that his dad was out combine harvesting at the weekend.
They grow maize for feed use and use a regular Claas combine fitted with a maize header...and apparently it was workable at the weekend...now I should like a photo of that...Combine working with snow on the Wolds behind..
Clive.

Evening Clive, i think Claas would have liked a photograph of that too, it would look pretty good on their sales brochures.

Been a sad old day here today, my lovely, lovely Auntie who lived in Wisbech sadly passed away last night.
She was my Mum's Sister, so my Mum is devastated.
What a year it has been!

Remember all the good times the sisters had with your mum and plant something to her memory, a beautiful flowering tree perhaps.

As normal, you all are so very kind when most needed, so a big thank you.
I will be going down my Mums later so will pass everyones kind wishes on, i know she will appreciate them, i have often told her what a smashing lot of folk you are.
And Peter, i will indeed plant something, a lovely idea.
