Evening Clive, i hope you're not over doing it, you always seem to be working just lately!

Another very sunny, dry and warm day here. The N wind is keen but, luckily, the allotment is sheltered from it (it's the southwesterlies which cause havoc there).

No rain forecast for the foreseeable future, so June looks like being as dry as March , April and May. We spent another two hours on Saturday just watering the absolutely needy plants.

Actually, please no rain on Wednesday: my twin daughters, two teenage granddaughters and their friends and I are doing the 'Race for Life' for Cancer Research at the Great Yorkshire Show Ground in Harrogate. It's just 3 miles and we are hoping to run it all the way!

Have had a wonderful day on the lottie and achieved quite a lot too. The sun was shining, birds were singing, strawberries ripend and a bottle of something cooling in a bucket. I was sitting in my deck chair, with a brew and a fag, thinking that life doesn't get much better than this.
Lots of love

Much brighter morning....warm sunshine on stepping out the back door to go open the greenhouse...

Lawn mowing day at work today...and hopefully find a few minutes to plant up one of the brassica cages...the one that is up..... The other needs to be up too but it isn't yet...........

Evening Clive, sometimes there just never seems to be enough hours in the day.

And what a beautiful one it has been to, now where's that after-sun. :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Certainly been back to Summer today....what difference a couple of days can make....

Lawns mowed...and they did seem to stripe particularly well today. :) ..
Broccoli, Caulis, Kale planted in cage one....
..and just time enough to get the formal front garden Golden Privet cubes and balls trimmed. I was a bit more nervous than usual trimming the balls  :? ....there was a team of decorators sat having tea break nearby....think they may have been quite amused if a ball had rolled from atop a cube. :? ..................but all stayed put. :)

Definitely not enough hours to get all things done....
......or perhaps more accurate....Plenty enough hours in the day but less of us....and some additional tasks.........

There is some amazing colour to be seen in the gardens at the moment, I have to say. :) ...

Clive.

Herby, me and Grockie will be only too happy to come round and rub your after sun in for you. I might even be able to persuade Grockie to get the angle grinder onto her talons

Had a fab night with Grockie last night down on the lottie. Was there till nearly midnight chatting away and celebrating the Beltane.

Brilliant night all round
Lots of love

Hi Lizzie

Alan clicks to pedantic mode again :(

Bit late for Beltane, isn't it?
