No, no, Alan, you've got it all wrong, i meant really old people.

If you two are going to muscle in and divert this topic, you'll have to start knitting hats. This is a topic for knitting nutters only
Needles at the ready boys?

Thats me out of the running then.
I did try knitting when i was a lot younger, but what i had knitted looked more like the ball of wool, than the ball of wool did.

I'll start knitting again then. Is the pattern on the website? I haven't done any for 10 months or more.

What a brilliant idea - didn't hear about this at all last year.
We're off to the Med tomorrow for 3 nights in the campervan - just got time to get my needles and wool together. Hate sewing up though, so will probably use 4 needles.
What date do they have to be in by this year?

They've not said yet Goldilox, but last year it was mid October to put on the bottles for sale during November. You've plenty of time
They've not yet set a target, but as last year it was 400,000 I suppose this year may be 500,000. I'll keep checking the website.
These are the fluffy hats I was talking about with no need for a bobble or other decoration. Two rows of fluffy wool to start and then two/three/four rows at the top.
I'm up to 228 completed hats with another 27 in the "to be completed" bucket.
