My two smallest Grandson get rid of the "sticky willie", so cleavers don't usually get to grow in my garden(though they are probably spreading the seeds everywhere in their play).

I don't think they grow back from the roots, Geoff, but their seeds are so persistent that, although every year I think I have removed every scrap before they flower, SOME must survive and seed itself and the following year there appears to be more than ever! Nasty stuff.

Nice steady rain here and predicted for all day, so will spend the day in the greenhouse, potting on plants... :)

It's raining here, fine drizzle, but constant.

Morning, another drop in temps here and clear blue skies, overnight the temp dropped to 0.8 inside the greenhouse, but no sign of any frost outside. Seeds are growing outside, third sowing of peas are showing this morning, just the Parsnips that are slow to germinate. In the greenhouse I planted some dwarf French beans from modules into the border between where the tomatoes will be, I covered them last night with a sheet of fleece and they look healthy this morning. Take care all and I'm off into the garden to grab the day whilst the goings good.

Never have grey skies looked so lovely! Plenty of soft, steady rain coming down today. I'm sure that even the new leaves on the trees are looking perkier. I'm off to give my greenhouse plants a treat of rainwater.

Credit to you, Compo! The door makes me think of a welder's mask.

Just started raining here, at last. It's still too light to penetrate the tree canopies, but it's better than nothing ...

We had steady rain most of the day put a good few litres in my water tank. Allowed me to stay cosy in the shed and pot on probably 150 bedding plant seedlings. Drank a lot of tea and enjoyed the radio for the afternoon
