29th Feb 2016.
AWWW LADIES, THANK YOU xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
.
But
.
I cannot accept any of your proposals of marriage today. I know, I know, don't be sad. No need for disappointment, wipe those tears away, because there is enough of this pa snip to go round for all of you.

By the way Ladies, you will need to have a co-operative husband or partner who is able to drive me back and forth to the shrinks consulting rooms as I understand the pills they are going to put me on to treat these delusions are pretty much knock out

Oh sod !! Just as well I have been grooming it again today then. However your proposal would have concerned me as I have nurtured this ground and I'm not sure our relationship would last if you wanted to make it part of a muddy ford

In fact I am well pleased that I have finally finished rough digging the entire plot. Thanks to a combination of either wet ground or my not feeling up to it, it's taken me since October to get to a point when I am happy with the way it is.

I shall soon get my rotavator out ( its quite legal) and give everywhere except the brassica bed a good going over.

That looks a nice bit of digging Pa ! You must be feeling quite pleased. Finally managed to get the vegetable plot dug this weekend and today for the first time the lawn had dried out enough to mow it, so everything feeling under control. And with the mornings and evenings now getting lighter, it's beginning to feel a little like Spring.

Love reading about your plots . The rain has been absent from here for about 2 weeks now, I must say I am pleased as it was coming in the house. Planted some Nastursiums in pots in the conservatory, but the way they are growing, will be ready to go out before the weather is warm enough for them

Should have done more preparation while it was cold and dry, reverted to normal with another 1" of rain since late yesterday evening.

Looks like my timing for finishing rough digging plot was just right, been piddling down here today.

Must be in for bad weather if birds are anything to go by
Even during the heaviest rain and highest wind this morning there were in excess of 40 goldies on feeders and waiting in tree, plus the blue tits were constantly feeding.

Yes Pa, guess we timed out outdoor activity just right yesterday, said she, looking out on a freshly mowed lawn and a newly coated fence as the rain streams down today. Birds feeding non atop but for once no kites circling around overhead like they were yeaterday.

Well, if you will flaunt it with such photographic evidence you must expect the punters to be lining up.

You should keep it quiet. You might go down to the allotment one day and just find a deep hole where all your lovely loam has been dug out and spirited away to form a new European loam mountain somewhere. (probably in Brussels or Strasburg!)

Primrose, you may well be onto something

I have been blaming foxes for the holes that have been appearing, loam spirits akin to Cottingley fairies may well be the answer though

If you are right at least brussels is partly what I intended it for

I'm just off to ask the council about putting up brown signs giving direction to 'Loam Mountain'

My April issue arrived Feb 29, must be careful which article I believe this month

And whilst on the subject of subscriptions, I wont name names but back in December I took out a subscription to a alternative gardening magazine as part of my Christmas gifts to my daughter.

The particular magazine is part of a number of monthly publications the company publishes, mostly of a nostalgic nature.

Here we are at the beginning of March and I am thinking the company should produce a magazine on brewing, mainly so that they could read their own articles and learn how to run a **** up in a brewery.
Order for subscription was placed December 9th and money taken out of my bank December 10th. So here we are on March 2nd and still no magazine has been sent to my daughter.

The claim up to now has been that I hadn't paid for the subscription. Email receipt and copy of bank statement put paid to that. joke is that at beginning of last month they sent me a naff cheaply printed 'gift card' to send to my daughter, this was insult to injury !!!!!

Thank you KG for getting monthly subscription mail outs back on schedule.
