Dear Donedigging, the weather is in a right old pickle at the moment, let's hope it soon settles down.

Done Digging

I hope it will drain soon.
My allotment may remain damp from November to March (due to the clay and the shade) but being on a slope will never flood.
Yours is a sad sight. God luck with it.

Just come back from visiting my Mum in M.K Hospital, she went in today for a major operation on her back. All went well, but she did look old and vunerable laying there. Hopefully she will look a little brighter tomorrow.
Don't mind admitting, it shook me a little.

Oh, OH, you have my sympathy. I remember doing the same with my mum many years ago - and you suddenly realise that old age is not a happy place .... all the very best for her!
And donedigging, you all seem to be suffering down SW. I do hope you are not even more inundated over the weekend. Will this weather ever improve again?

& it's not over yet...What a Year we have had. 2012 will be remembered for a while. Hope the 13 in next year isn't an omen - personally I'm not bothered its only a number but my neighbour is not looking forward to it and is already being pessimistic.

OH make sure the nurses look after her properly.
I'd send a hug, but she might be scared by a grizzled bear like.me

I'll make one confident prediction about 2013: it won't start with a spring drought
