Dear OH. Surely not already? Grey cloud and 6 degrees. . Are you sure it's not dandruff drifting down in front of your specs? . If it really was snow I'm digging my hibernation burrow NOW!

That settles it, if Primrose is digging a tunnel it accounts for why I have numerous mounds of soil cropping up around the edges of my raised beds.

Funny Primrose!
Goodness OH - snow! Keep it your way please - this part of the UK doesn't do well with snow! Even your dandruff would have the council gritters out everywhere - mostly missing the hilly bits & main roads & just going up & down the bypass - Bless em!

In Hertfordshire, Friday was awful weatherwise, misty, rainy and very cold. Very November really but colder.
I've been in a basement in London for mot of Sunday and today but it was certainly on the cold side of chilly last night even in central London.
So, yes it may be time for Winter bits and bobs! (especially if it is going to get colder as the forecasters say).

Parsnips and sprouts should both taste better for that
Youngest dog giving it some loud aggressive barks in back garden yesterday, other 3 dogs rushed out and joined in.
This is turn made me look, youngest taking a step forward, barking and taking a step back.
Heron in pond ignoring them until I stepped out into garden, it then flew off to roof of neighbouring house and walked defiantly back and forth along the ridge looking directly at me as if to say "ha ha I'm protected! "
Netted as much as I could of the pond and gave the dogs a biscuit each. Funny watching their reaction though
