Still no sign of the white stuff here. A bit was forecast for tonight and tomorrow, but now the forecast has shifted it to Monday.

We have had some more snow during the night.

And for the ones that haven't ventured out there yet, it feels bitterly cold in the wind.

Be careful.

We had a flurry in the night but no more snow yet but the temperature is around -4 at the moment and Thursday night/Friday morning it went down to -9 deg. Last year at this time we recorded a -8.6 in the garden. So not much different from last year.

We are struggling to keep the fish pond clear of ice. As soon as we clear a little area it fills in with ice. I am going to have to purchase a football to keep in the pond as I have heard that this is the best thing.

We have clear skies at the moment but I heard that we can expect some more snow this weekend.

Looking at the satellite picture in the paper yesterday it did not look like anywhere in the UK had escaped the snow.

Thanks OH, it is nice to be back - although I am fearing it could all be a repeat performance next week! I need the cold to continue though, my fridge whent pop when the power came back on, so the contents of the freezer (not a lot fortunately) are in cool bags buried in the snow, and the milk etc in cool bags in the outhouse. If we suddenly thaw out before I get a new fridge/or repair I will be stuffed

Meanwhile, no post since Tuesday, so those thermals I ordered for the children could be anywhere

No snow in Ambridge yet! Not very cold there either!

To go back to the original question - not yet.

This is a picture of the fields next door with the frosted remnants of a ten minute sleety shower last Tuesday. Taken at 11 this morning.

I see you are still being lucky Alan. I can see from various areas on the satellite picture that places like Anglesea are missing the snow. Even my sister, who lives in Lincolnshire, and who never seems to get snow has some this weekend. I think we have had a little thaw here today as the temperature is a balmy 1.3 degrees. Still keeping on top of defrosting the pond for the fish, at one point as soon as I walked away from the little area I had defrosted then it immediatley started to freeze over and in the morning was completely solid. I have not got round to getting a football yet.

Just seen the BBC North West News and it is saying that the only area in the North West that has escaped the big freeze with no snow is Anaside in Cumbria on the coast it looks really strange. Something to do with the wind direction.
