Sunny start, warm and humid here...but just starting to cloud over a little ...forecast is heavy rain from the West by tea time... Just sometimes rain from the West runs out before it gets here... Here's hoping that could be the way today....
There is an airshow a couple of miles West of here today, the first time the venue has hosted such a large event so hope it stays ok for the aerial activities later today.

.
..and for my gardening activities too...with an eye on the sky for P51 Mustangs..combining two hobbies.

A real summer day here, sunny and warm and a light breeze. What we think of as Croeso ymwelwyr (Welcome tourists) weather. Then it's rain for the next three days to show them the real Welsh world

In my wee little world I optimistically note that the water
butts are full and I am ready for an Indian Summer

PS That may be the wine although consumption is somewhat
down with the lack of BBQ's in the neighbourhood this summer.

"Un jour sans vin est un jour sans soleil"
A day without wine is a day without sun (and I might add: Who needs a barbecue?)

Saturday forecast was about right here....fine most of the day

..heavy rain for a short while starting 6-25pm.
There had been a few spots of rain on the breeze earlier and the cloud came down lower towards the end of the of the local air display....but by starting 3/4 hour early they about beat the weather....and I did get to see the P51 Mustangs fly by South of here on arrival and departure..
Nice sunny morning....and forecast ok for the day
Clive.

Very pleasant here indeed, it really does make one want to do things.

Well, get out there and do them. Unexpectedly fine here today and I've got three quarters of an acre of grass to cut - so out for some petrol.

Nice bright morning here, after the rain last night. The rain was about 5 hours late yesterday, but got here in the end

I think looking at Geoff's chart we should all be heading for North Scotland!

A few more Raspberries cut out and tied in...
..and the Strawberry cage dismantled...
.....more end of Summer
Meanwhile, Mums rain gauge records show 115mm rain here this July....55mm for July last year..
Clive.
..and was that the Vacher families Hawker Hurricane that I heard in the distance this morning.

..setting off for Bedfordshire..

They should get it wrong more often if it gives us another barbecue week like this week. Not that we've got the barbecue out, I don't really like the subtle blend of burnt and uncooked, anyway it might frighten the sun away. Beautiful sky behind the Lake District mountains tonight.
