Well today has been one of those up and down days ,this morning my wife had a thing called a dynamic screw fitted into her hip the nurse who has been laughing and joking with her since she arrived on his ward came in and said I'm off now until Thursday I may no see you again, yesterday we were told she would be in for 7 to 10 days today he said the way she has reacted she could be out in 2 to 3 days , this morning I phoned the nurse who has been in charge of carols appointments as I needed to postpone two she told me that the consultants had a meeting last Thursday the cancer in her liver is the same size as it was in August 8mm diameter so it's an easy job to control and the rest of her body is cancer free this is after two scans a couple of weeks ago

Hi Robo.

That is good news indeed, shame she had the fall but it sounds like the nurses are doing their best to keep her spirits up so hopefully she will be on the mend soon and back down on the plot making your tea. All the best!

Robo,
You and Carol must keep positive. It can be beaten. My wife did it.
Regards,
Gerry.

Planted 10 more over Winter onion sets in the greenhouse yesterday. Remember this? viewtopic.php?f=8&t=14064&start=75
When I planted the onions and garlic last week I saved some onions to put in the tunnel as they did well this year. Yesterday I counted them and today I prepared the space for them, went to get them from the inside garage and a third had disappeared, why should mice take onion sets?

I've been decorating the last couple of weeks and the other day I wanted a small brush so I sorted through the plastic tub I keep all my paint brushes in and in the bottom discovered 10 onion sets!

Don't worry about the recent odd posts, I am a bit busy at work lately and haven't been able to memorise everyone's posts so didn't spot the similarity in wording. I had put the user name against my grammatical expectation scale and cut some slack. There is nothing in the posts to attract a ban or a block.
However if links or signatures with links or websites appear the posts and the user who posted them will abruptly vanish forever.

There are still some posts by new users attempting to advertise gardening services in Australia or selling sites in America. You don't get to even see them as new users posts are moderated, and if they are patient and behave I can delete them and all their posts with one single action.

Peter said on the "Weeding" thread
Abracadabra made a post with a link to an American price comparison site for weedkillers, they gone!

Hello Peter can I just clarify for my own peace of mind, have they gone because the link was to a American site and seemed to have a commercial gain intent or just because it was a link.

Some of us do post links now and again to either a site that might assist someone to purchase something, or just for them to gain information.

Do we risk being kicked out.

Pa, you would refer to it not just plop a link in a posts text.
Two posts in and with posts not reading very well and then an American weed killer comparison website, aka clickbait as a link hidden under a word.

You develop a feel for patterns and the language used..
Bit like people are questioning the copies of Primroses posts, which on reading look like they've been run through Google translate twice.

So links are fine but I'm suspicious of one's posted by recently joined members who've not made many posts.
