Dear Bert, if they knew who they were up against, they would do well to keep well clear...

If only they would, OH
The one I got last week was as easy as all those I got last year, but there are more now and they seem to be an altogether brighter lot. They (or maybe just 'it') are digging under all my traps. I keep repositioning them, but the holes keep getting deeper and deeper!
But I can be a persistent b***er, so they'd better watch out.

I couldn't count the amount of people I spoke with about catching moles but it is the same-old story. No one catches moles like you do, or did.
You're still my hero if only because you went from a complete novice to a 'sage' in mole-catching within days.
What you're describing with your recent failures is typical mole evasive measures that never seem to feature in mole-catching literature.
As purely a mater of interest for those who may be remotely interested, most of my mole problems have gone away, maybe gone to the other side of the bank after I had the paddock rolled.
They'll be back.
I'm convinced the only way to control moles is to collapse the tunnels so they bugger-off. In my case my neighbours field has masses of mole hills. (Smile)

Got one!!! It had dug under all the scissor traps, but my tunnel trap got it.
I'm torn between a happy and a sad emoticon, because I really don't like killing things.
It wasn't an adult, so its brothers and sisters might still be lurking.
Update (a day later): And another - a bigger one, in a scissor trap. Maybe I'm back on form!
