Morning Alan, i've never been one to chase high paid jobs, but it does seem very tempting.

Now if there was a picture of the lady of the house, that might sway my thoughts a little.

Glorious day here in Cardiff,sunny but fresh,hardly any wind, a good 'digging' day but the ground at the allotment is still frozen so had a couple of hours tidying the shed etc.Surprised at the amount of 'stuff' collected since the last clean-up,kept the good and useful items and put the not wanted aside until the site has it's rubbish skip brought to site and then taken to the landfill site.
Rain and windy weather forecast for next week.

Dear Elle, probably not.

I was dead keen to finish the last bit of digging yesterday morning but, after - 6 degrees of frost, everything was frozen hard! I managed to straighten out a path along a previously dug bed but nearly needed to use a pickaxe for that. Hopefully, tomorrow or Tuesday will be ok underfoot before it becomes wet and windy.

OH was quite comfortable in the needlework classes and it paid off when he devoted all those recent snowy days and evenings to ruching, pleating and embroidery.

Although I did hear that the cat mistook him for an armchair!

I don't know where you folk find all these, but it does brighten a cold Winters morning.

..and it is rather cold this morning..it has just dropped to -2.....with an amazing sky out to the East/South East....that includes a thin sliver of the Moon.

Do you know, i have been puzzling over this all day, how on earth do they manage to put the tree socks on.

Just had a very pleasant surprise, had a full service on my lawn mower, hedgecutter had the carburetor de-gummed where i had left some petrol in it, and chainsaw sharpened properly where i had been sharpening it with a heavy left hand. Got to pick them up tomorrow.

All this for £42.00, what a bargain, of course i will put a little extra in.

OH. You are indeed fortunate, some three year's ago I was charged £60 for a lawnmower service, now I buy a new one from one of the major DIY stores for £99 minus 10% on a Wednesday, and run it into the ground.

I have just cleaned and sorted two pairs of Felco 2 for one of our loyal volunteers tonight....and the left over spring I used to fit to a pair of I can really believe they are not Felcos .....
One Felco pair was missing a spring and the other had an unusual fault that I have never seen on Felco before... The thread on nut and bolt was stripped. Springs come in packs of 2 it seems...so both had new...hence the spring left over.

...and if only I could find the previously salvaged wire spring that I put on a windowsill somehwere then a Draper flower set could be sorted too...but despite a short search this spring has not been found...yet.
