Dear Donedigging, you do make a good trainer of head poultry keepers.
I now have charmed the hens, and you were also right with the egg number, indeed it was 18 eggs, although one was broken again. :)

Hi OH

Well done OH, I knew you could talk the girls round.

Old Codger, won't worry about asking you to be Head Poultry Keeper in the future when he's off on his next adventure. :)

P.S I have no experience with chickens at all, only buying them at the supermarket for Sunday roast. :)

Dear Donedigging, your praise brings me great happiness. :)

17 today. :)

I wouldn't worry about not knowing anything about hens Donedigging, you can't be good at everything.

Thank you OH. ( for keeping quiet)

Any updates on Old Codgers chickens? I expect you have them all well trained by now and have a few pet names for them :)

I bet you'll be glad that OC will be home soon and your peace and quiet will be broken, with all his adventures of the high seas.

Morning Donediggig, i'm a little concerned over one of the hens, she just doesn't look to well.

O.C is still away for another 10 days yet, how the wealthy live. :)

Good evening OH,

You have me worried now, how is she tonight?

Dear Doneigging, i think she looks a little perkier tonight.
I did pick her up earlier and give her a bit of a cuddle, she just looked into my eyes and gave me a look that would melt the hardest of poultry keepers hearts. :)

Dear OH,

How's the poorly one?

Did your magical looks work?

Good morning Donedigging, and what a glorious morning it is as well. :)

I think the poorly one might be trying it on a little, she seems to pick up after some affection, but looks a little rough later on again.

The Old Codger should be back latter next week. I got a post card from the old fellow yesterday, saying they have got sunburnt, i hasten to add, there will be no offers from me to apply sunburn cream, he can do his own. :)

But the offer is still there for other people. :)

I feel wide awake tonight, that will teach me to lay in bed to 5.30am :)
