Hi Catherine
When you post something the number on ALL the posts you have ever made increases by one. The postings don't number sequentially, they're all on the same number.

I wonder if the moving of the forum will start us all off at zero postings again.

I should be so lucky
I just hope the move goes easily, the word "upgrade" is a word to be feared

I agree with OH I am definately confused Chantal. Do you mean that posting a reply in a topic means you posting number stays the same every time you reply to a topic and it is only the new posts that get a new number. OR does your number change every time you reply to some one on a topic if so it is now working at the moment.

Catherine: each time you post something the number under your name goes up by one. Yes, it's working fine, honestly.
OH: what are you confused about, the numbering or the upgrade information?

You don't need to worry OH, you don't need to do anything, just be prepared to be unable to chunter to all of us for a few hours at some point.
It'll all be fine, but things may look a little different when everything is back up and running.

Dear OH
I've sent you a disaster plan by PM, should the worst happen and the forum be offline.
