Dear K.G.Admin, nice to know you are still there too, and keeping one step ahead of the times. :)

Please don't send me anything special for Christmas, that would be most unfair.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

OH commands, I respond- loneliness can be a curse or a blessing!
P...ing down with rain here in sodden Surrey this Sunday morn, but I'm delighted with my runners, they're having a real late season explosion.
Had a new 'over the fence' neighbour move in earlier this year. Lovely man, retired nurseryman and he's already transformed a run-down garden into a riot of flowers and bird cages with finches, canaries, budgies etc etc.
Also a couple of Dobermans which came at me the first time I went to the fence - and nearly licked me to death! He has mutton-chop whiskers, wears a Stetson hat and rides a bike. Are there any clones of OH floating about, do you know?! :D
Love to all (well, the ladies), John N

I can't believe how it has cleared today. Yesterday was dreadful with torrential rain and strong wind. Today is calm, cloudless blue sky and fantastic views of the Lake District mountains. Quite warm in the sun in a sheltered spot.

Wonderful morning here in North Wales, sun shining, warm, no wind - not words you expect to see in the same sentence

It's still wet and glum here, apart from me that is, now that would never do.

It's been chucking it down all day here
But it's been a pleasant day though, what with a visit from my recently married daughter to plunder the veg plot, and loads of goldfinches and greenfinches on the feeders today :)
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........

We have 7 volunteers staying to help us this week...we all got very wet this morning...was I pleased to see the clear blue sky with bright sunnyshine from 1pm onwards. :) .

Compost heap turned, Lime tree avenue sucker growth all trimmed up, Portugese Laurel reduced, Wineberry dug out..and this pm many trays of Apples picked..

We have some metal fence rails to paint..more Sunnyshine needed..Please..

For the first time in many years we have got blackened Dahlias ahead of lifting time...I reckon Friday and Saturday was the coldest I've felt at work in 16+ years there...we've had technically much colder of course...but it was perishing...

Hi

Horrible wet, cold and north-wind weather on Saturday - today sunny still and warmer - it's the contrats that make days like this so good.
