What a difference a day makes!!!!!
Fine powder snow blown into cold greenhouse - now b..... cold greenhouse. Perhaps my advice on another thread to buy big and cheap was misguided.

Nearly 2 inches of snow here and it's still falling. Just like a Christmas card!

I hope it's not heading this way, although it is forecast. We've only had a couple of flakes this morning but Tim is playing golf at 1pm and will be so fed up if he can't play that life won't be worth living. I'll be hiding in my greenhouse with the heater on full blast if that happens. It's too cold out there to go to the plot though, we have no shelter from the wind. I need to do some digging but I dig for pleasure not to freeze. :?

Well done Piglet.

Also well done Chantal, our new Moderator!!! Does this mean we now have to be nicer to you

Anyway, 4-6 inches of snow here, still falling and drifting. It'll turn to rain after. Kids are made up, out in the street having a snowball fight. The adults are having their own. They started off playing with the kids but things change!!!!

It's also very cold and very windy here. A day to stay in and try to cook something with this bloody stupid arm. I feel like a toffee apple steamed sponge pudding with proper custard. Real comfort food

Congratulations Piglet and Mrs Piglet. Are you entering your allotments in the KG competition?

we are toying with the idea Tigger, but to be honest, our allotment perhaps has more soul and character than regulation rows and sanitised corners.

It does however produce blistering fruit and veg.

Definitely the Barnyard Bart Simpson I think.

Well done Piglets, I am very impressed. I like your comment about your allotment having "soul", mine has a lot of that, although the satisfaction obtained from having sat weeding for a few hours and having beautiful pristine rows of veg takes a lot of beating.

Still only the odd flake of snow here; just shoved Tim out of the door with his golf clubs and am settling down in front of a blazing fire with Rosie cat and my Italian revision. Greenhouse later maybe.

What do you think Peter? That I'll change because I'm a Sherrif? I don't think so...
