Sue, yes I admit it, I was full of hot air.
Pre-op they said something along the lines of, "if you think you're having a heart attack after the op, pains in your shoulders, then you're not, it will be the gas we inflated you with.".

It's always made my shoulders ache as I presume gas goes upwards. I'm trying hard not to think of Peter's gaseous explusions as once again, I've just eaten.

I've given it one; a health warning that is. I can hardly wait for this morning's revelations.
Peter my boy, what are you DOING! I had the same operation 8 weeks ago and had none of this carry on. Pull yourself together and get your body under control.
I have to admit you're doing my diet the world of good though; I read this thread and don't want food.

Glad to be of service Chantal and other dieters.
To further assist dieters here is my latest update.
Top wound is no longer hot or inflamed, it is slightly open at one end, this makes it a bit shy, so it keeps itself hidden under a dressing.
Lower wound after decisively joining the exudation programme last night is now indecisive, thinks its better and closes, then gets all hot and inflamed and reopens.

OMG! The only things that spring to mind (or memory) as worse are sputum samples, the cleansing of glass eyes, the cleansing of false noses for people with syphillis, leprosy, anything to do with feet.

That's it, I'm seriously thinking of locking this thread, if only to save the breakfast of countless forum members, including my own.
Oh YUK! And Tigger, don't incite him, he doesn't need any help, he really doesn't.
Peter, I hope you're feeling better this morning.

My Favourite Things
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with string,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Cream coloured ponies and crisp apple strudel,
Door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings,
These are a few of my favorite things.
Girls in white dresses and blue satin sashes,
Snow-flakes that stay on my nose and eye-lashes,
Silver white win-ters that melt into spring,
These are a few of my favorite things,
When the dog bites,
When the bee stings,
When I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel, so bad.
I thought I'd post this to take our minds off the other posts, but having read it I feel even less like breakfast.
More reports please Peter.

At last the antibiotic does seem to be working!
I am still a little oozie, but it is much cleaner and inflamation is now VERY local to the actual incisions.
A bit of blood from the top one as the bit where the yuk came out has not yet managed to knit at the surface.
Quite a bit more ooze from the lower one, but it is watery (serum?) stuff and no actual gap, just a bit of raw Peter showing.
I have been out and about, even driving which is fine, walking is less comfortable as this "Portugese Racing Sardine" finds that the natural motion of the frontal speed hump worries the upper wound a little.

Peter your becoming obsessive about your wounds, I might have to assess your state of mind.
