please don't do what the bride did at the wedding at the church up the road today-
she had a massive birds nest on her head
her dh had such a tall top hat and he was tall anyway
but the icing on the cake was the plum coloured bridesmaids dresses topped off by what can only be described as polar bear coats! full lenght!
my neighbours granddaughter said 'good god grandma, what are they wearing, it's not even cold'
they then trotted off in a horse n cart with at least 6 people crammed into the carriage
what a sight!
i just hope she enjoyed it

I'm sorry Grock, 10 March just isn't an option as it was the wedding day of my best friend who died last year and was also buried on her (4th)wedding anniverary. I don't think any of use could handle that one, but I WILL make a note that it's your birthday! Something happy on that day will be a very good thing.

As for the rest of your questions; we were hoovering down one of those banquets in a Chinese restaurant and Tim was being naughty rude about some people on another table. I threatened to shove mu chopsticks up his nose if he didn't behave and he completly changed the subject and asked me to marry him. I was so shocked I just gawped at him and said "I'm sorry, what did you just say?", so he had to ask me again. Just to be on the safe side I recall him asking a third time shortly afterwards, just to make sure.

Both his daughters and my neice have asked to be bridesmaids. As it's the second time around for both of us a church is out (I'm not a believer anyway) so it looks like the registry office and then a party.

Is there anything else you'd like to know?

Not much in the way of planning will be happening for a couple of weeks as Tim is off to Italy on Tuesday for 10 days. I won't go as I can't leave Rosie, she's just too old and not in the best of health. Don't tell him but I have plans to blitz the house and do some painting whilst he's away, as well as sorting out the garden, digging the allotment, getting Rocky back in the chicken run, shovelling mountains of manure and going to work. I'm tired just reading that!

Hi Chantal,
A friend of mines Husband goes on a months golfing and leaves her to look after the business whilst he swans about playing golf in the States and this he did 10 year on the trot and would never find the time to take her anywhere. Last year he had not left the village when the builders arrived and when he came home there was £20,000.00. Kitchen extension
complete with new fitted kitchen. She charge it to his account. The whatsit hit the fan when he came home but he still went this year and this year was the year of the Conservatory and he is due home tomorrow. I think this has cost a similar amount and I just wonder if after this he will go next year!!
He breeds horses as a hobby and when he goes away she has to look after 15 horses on her own and she has told me on the QT that if he does it next year she will sell his horses!! After that I would imagine comes the divorce!
JB.

Hey brilliant, well done that woman! Don't get the wrong idea though, I'm happy for Tim to go without me. He's desperate for a holiday and I could go if I wanted to; it's my choice. 8)

He used to live there (for 14 years) and that's where he's going. It's a small town called Montecarlo which is near Lucca in Tuscany. It's perched on the top of a hill and is very lovely with a huge church and big old town walls. This place is the reason I'm learning Italian as no one there speaks any English and we like to go every year if we can. It's about an hour by car away from Florence.

OOoh congrats :) :)

Can KG have exclusive rights to the wedding? ;)

(You'll be required to get married in the middle of your allotment ;) )

Seriously though - nice one!

You're not the first person to suggest we get a licence for the plot! Of course you can have exclusive rights, who the hell else would want them!
