After two days' deluge (which, for us, included a rather hairy journey on the A59 and A65, where the river Wharfe had spread across the road and every oncoming vehicle engulfed our poor little Yaris in a big wave ...) , it was a lovely day today. Got most of my spring bulbs planted in pots, pans and outside. Must move the wallflowers from the allotment tomorrow and get the overwintering onions planted, having fed the ground with blood, fish and bone, as advised by you kind people!

Plot 18 digging nearly done now, just the sweetcorn and beans to finish, leaving some late planted leeks, this side of the beans.

We went for a fifteen mile walk after taking this photo yesterday.

I've been unable to login since the weekend as I am also about to change ISP, all I did was change my email address in my profile in preparation and security got upset. Thanks to Jason sorted now. I've gone for a non-ISP email address so shouldn't need to do it again. What a pain updating everything, mind some all contacts have come to life by emailing my entire address book with the change. New ISP is going to take over broadband and telephone line a week apart so I sense some chaos, might disappear again when change starts next Monday.

Been a busy morning today. The sun was shining and so out I went with the intention of clearing the larger of my 2 greenhouses out and digging the mini-sweetcorn, squashes and tomatoes plants out of their bed before composting them  .

2 hours later and both my daleks are full to bursting with spent tomato, cucumber, squash and lettuce plants and the brown bin is now home to sweetcorn stems and weeds :) .

Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'll be emptying the spent grow-bags onto the now empty bed, for digging in with some chicken manure pellets and getting himself to help move my tubs of potatoes and carrots into the now empty greenhouse :D

Feeling energised and now back to knitting fairy dolls ready for my soon-to-be-6-year-olds 'Make your own Fairy' birthday party

Even though we have come such a huge way, with Men and Women being equal. With both doing things that one or the other would have done years ago. There's still no way i would say, "i've been knitting fairy dolls", if i had, that is.

Just doesn't feel right.... :)
