My wife and I went for a drive up the local Glen today, she had a new hip last week and cannot walk further than the car just now, but were going stir crazy in home, so a tripout with a camera was just the ticket. Autumn really has arrived, but as of yet, no Red Deer rut, we did see Grouse, Kites Squirrels and Partridge all of which were red. The trees were a lovely golden red too.

Keep them coming burnie , we have a canal near bye it was originally a side shoot of the Leeds /Liverpool canal the idea was to sail the damaged barges into it for repair as a kid I spent most of my life fishing it up to me being eleven years old then we moved to the other side of town ,the dragon flies used to swarm in their hundreds every colour you could think of nowadays none what a great loss

On the left is a small burn I fly fish for trout in the summer, but it's only a mile from the sea, so high tide means the water has nowhere to go.

I've had an email from Thames Water telling me that the hosepipe ban is over.
