Has this been a "light" year for Tomato blight?

Can't identify that mould? Got a great tip for keeping slugs at bay? Suggestions for organic weed control? Post them here...

If blight spores are splashed up on the plant by falling rain, would it automatically apply that the blight starts are the base of the plant via the stem and lower leaves? As a matter of interest when you've first noticed blight on your plants, where has it been? Lower down? Or higher up?

No blight here which is a miracle after several years of it without fail. Would like tothink it would break the cycle a bit but somehow doubt it!

Last weekend no blight on outdoor tomatoes. This weekend all six plants have succumbed rather badly. They are now bagged and on their way to an incinerator!

As I've mentioned, my entire crop of tomatoes and potatoes came inside three weeks ago and are clear. However, a friend of mine two miles away has lost the entire tomato crop through blight in the past week.

It's perfect for blight in the Rugby area, when you step outside, it's like a warm bath it's so mild and humid.
