Summer's here

We finally have some rain here - rather lighter that forecast - to kick off the Bank holiday weekend. We had hoped to keep it to ourselves, but we're sending across the border to England

Nice bit of soft rain here in Malvern, it will be good if this keeps up all day

Told you all we were sending it over. Fortunately it's still raining here too

Wet rain.......

Is that the type of wet rain we can get up this way.. .??

Our "wet rain" is called as such due to it being so light that you keep working in it and thus eventually get soaked wet through....

Just "rain"...means work in greenhouse/potting shed and stay dry-ish.

Rain gauge has made it to 1mm......

Dear Clive, i always class wet rain as, you just pop out to get something, and it soaks you instantly.

7mm so far and it's still raining very lightly. Shame all about the events going on at the weekend but we sure appreciate the rain at last!

It made it to only 3.5mm in the gauge here.

..but you would have got well soaked in it at times..

It made the roads come up a very slippery emulsion....

in spite of todays weather summer is well established in somerset. yes i now know its a damselfly not a dragon fly... amazing what wildlife you can find on a short walk.
