It did confuse me when I went to Sunday School and again came across talk of manna...

I am currently trying to decide what to start off in growth in pots so as to be ready to hit the floor running when I move on 7 May.

Peas and broad beans maybe Suzie!

Yes indeed, they will be in the plan - I have been sent some bean seed from a pal in Germany called Stangenbohnen, they produce beans that are over 60cms (2ft!!) in length - wow!

I also have some Peas that I am going to get into rootrainers very shortly, which are Celebration and a Garden Organic heritage variety called Hugh's Huge - no idea what any of these will produce but that's the fun isn't it

I can´t walk down the street without stopping to sniff the daffodils, there are all these people who sell gold flowers everywhere it makes me so happy! but am missing the Jasmine back home in Australia...nothing beats lying in the hammock on the veranda smelling the Jasmine! Oh, and the frangipanis!! *Sighs*....

We always tend to think that we are behind, I have only put ten first early spuds in, just have not had the time, the ground is dug, but the worker is decorating son's bedroom. I do however have a lot of stuff going on in the greenhouse, second lot of peas in paper pots, second lot of broad beans and a host of other stuff. Wintered over broad beans looking good, some peas are up too about three inches and first sewn carrots in guttering are now in the ground so all in all not too bad.

A couple of bonuses, the purple sprouting is away and tastes great and have harvested the first rhubarb as well, so I start off thinking I am behind then think...........well it is not too bad. I am one for the overall theory, if it is put in the end of march or the end of April, it will go away when it is ready.....have a good spring everyone!!!
