Has anyone eaten Marfona potatoes before?

Cook bought a bag of these as a general cooking potato, but when it comes to roasting they are terrible.
I know they are meant to be a slightly waxy potato but, even with all her burning abilities they will not go crispy. :)

Hurray - our seed potatoes have come from Romans. The same procedure as for you OH - an email yesterday saying they had been dispatched and arrival this afternoon.

Dear Clive your delivery from Devon wouldn't be a book titled, "Your pension paper-work made easy", would it. :)

Dear OH, our local veg shop has been selling Marfona for the last few weeks. Before buying I asked what they were like, and the man said "they are great potatoes, but not for Roasting - stick with King Edwards for those." So that is what I did - bag of Marfona for the mash, and a few KE for the weekend roast. :D

Dear Elle, thankyou for that information regarding the potatoes.

Cook will be so pleased that the lack of crunchiness was not down to her cooking abilities. :)
