Has anyone eaten Marfona potatoes before?
Cook bought a bag of these as a general cooking potato, but when it comes to roasting they are terrible.
I know they are meant to be a slightly waxy potato but, even with all her burning abilities they will not go crispy.

Hurray - our seed potatoes have come from Romans. The same procedure as for you OH - an email yesterday saying they had been dispatched and arrival this afternoon.

Dear Clive your delivery from Devon wouldn't be a book titled, "Your pension paper-work made easy", would it.

Dear OH, our local veg shop has been selling Marfona for the last few weeks. Before buying I asked what they were like, and the man said "they are great potatoes, but not for Roasting - stick with King Edwards for those." So that is what I did - bag of Marfona for the mash, and a few KE for the weekend roast.

Dear Elle, thankyou for that information regarding the potatoes.
Cook will be so pleased that the lack of crunchiness was not down to her cooking abilities.
