You don't really share your life with the world only those you choose i.e. I stick to the people that I know away from facebook such as friends I used to work witha nd I only tell them what I would tell them anyway. Even if it was hijacked my information wouldn't have anything that would tell anybody who didn't know me anything about me.
Some celebs etc chose to have groups that accept anybody which is what gets them into trouble.
