Same here regarding oil seed rape. The smell seems to coat the back of your throat. I have an elderly friend who lives in a high rise block just down the road from here, which over looks farmland. When they set oil seed rape in the fields and it is in flower ( and harvesting it too) she can't have any windows open as it aggravates her asthma and makes her ill. Fortunately, they haven't sown it since the floods in 2007, which wiped it out. That poor farmer must have been tearing his hair out that year, as most of his fields were flooded and there are still patches which are barren.
