They have done away with the weather at the end too. That was one of the few useful parts of the show

Dear CEO Grumpy Sod's, I wish to apply for the recently advertised Apprentice Grumpy Old Sod vacancy.
I feel that I am very well qualified for this post, indeed this week I even said "In the name of sanity...." and "When I was a boy......".
If you accept my application, then I have already started work and just need to know the name of my Foreman Grumpy Old sod, so I can fecth him a box of holes and a bucket of steam for his morning tea break.
Yours, Trainee Grumpy Old Sod.

Sorry but old habits are hard to break and I am still watching but this week Toby had an idea for storing root veg in sort of soil (could have been compost) filled dustbins set in large holes in the ground.

I didn't fancy the idea but what amazed me was the fact he was going to store a mixture of root veg in the container including potatoes!! Why would potatoes need storing in this way I wonder?

He was using the dustbin as a vermin proof barrier to a clamp. All root veg were stored in a clamp before we had cold storage and imported produce.

I thought it was a good idea and something I will be copying, although I won't be burying mine.

I just love that grumpy old sod site. Brilliant. I can think of many people I would like to add to the list for the W****r of the Week awards. I could keep it going for quite a number of years.

Have popped the site onto my facebook page so that other Grumpys that I know can access it and give vent to their feelings........and to know that there are more of us Grumps around than they thought.

I wonder what is the correcte collective noun is for a bunch of Grumpy Old Sods is?
