Where were you this morning Old Codger, it was rather pleasant over the allotment first thing, apart from the the lashing rain, wind, muddy hands and boots.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Dear OH it was not very pleasant when i got my stall out, i was wet through getting carrots, cabbages, and beetroot but they all went. I got wet again fetching it in after dinner, and then it went and cleared later.Never mind ready for digging tomorrow

What a difference a day makes, it really is very mild out there this morning.
No stars to be seen, just heavy drizzle coming down.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Dear OH. Yes what a difference a day makes this morning there is drizzel and no stars and the temperature is 11.2 in the garden. I had indoor jobs to do yesterday and could not get into the garden even though it was a lovely day. :( Today I have to finish them but it is raining now so I am not too worried. Tomorrow looks better so I hope to be able to get out and dig. :D

Well it looks like it's going to be umbrellas and parasols regarding the weather over the next five days.

Well we are going to be needing the Parasols here in the south, so that leaves the umbrellas for you folk further up North.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Good Evening OH No chance of stars at the moment it has been miserable and grey for the past two days, today it has been overcast but quite warm. We have been lighting our multiburner most of the week but tonight it is proving difficult to light. Dont know why. My oh will have to try harder!!!

Dear Catherine, we have been so lucky here, it's been another glorious day, sunshine all day.

You will have to tell your husband to rub the sticks faster.

Dear OH. That is too much information as regards sunshine. It is apparently my fault because I forgot to get some firelighters today  so we are working off wrapped newspaper and wood chippings collected from the woods.

Hi everyone,
Good digging weather in South Wales this last couple of days so I"ve managed to put in a few hours rough digging on my sites.
Worryingly there didn"t seem to be as many worms as in previous years.Have they "gone deep" because it is going to be a cold harsh winter? :?
Regards snooky

Evening Snooky, i have been digging as well today.

On one of my plots there were loads of worms, on the second there were very few. :?

I just put it down to the different amounts of compost i had added earlier on in the year.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
