Dear OH...A man after my own heart

I love cooking and I am not bad at it too but the Governor doesn't like me to cook either

Apparently I get carried away and use up a whole weeks groceries in one meal...but what a meal...now that is absolutely true

Meeting and marrying the lovely Governor was one of my finer decisions in life...she's a diamond...mind you what she thinks of me may be entirely different

Well I think modern technology is wonderful- especially electronics.. cos after being brand new and highly desirable when first produced, in 3 years time NO-ONE wants it.

So if you are prepared to always have 3 years or more old technology you can keep up to date for peanuts.
eg.. 2 MB digital camera under £20, replacemnt PC £100 etc...

Why pay several £100 for something worth under £50 in 3 years time?

It's called consumerism.. and the mobile phone/PC/TV /Car industries are brilliant at it.

Most of us live in recycled houses.. (ours is about 190 years old) so a 3 year old mobile phone is brand new... (mine is 6 years old and still going strong .. used once every 6 months).

Freecycle and ebay are great for bargains .. this PC was rebuilt using second hand components and selling the originals (all on ebay). Net cost around £25...

Gardening? Recycle everything...

Well me and OH both got em, when I was in Navy six years ago, we used to always text in the morning and at night, sad but sweet, also good for saying the train is late or where are you? up the allotment? bring me a cabbage.

However, you will never hear mine ring and it is switched off when I drive.

The dishwasher, loaded up till it is full, saves us many litres of water and loads of time, we have had the same bosch for over 15 years, where would we be without it, cold fill so it heats the water the same way as the stuff out of the tap.

Can take or leave microwave, but when I get back a little late from the lottie it warms me dinner up.

So I think all these gadgets have their place, but when they go off in the pub/train/supermarket and the owner shouts, 'alright mate, did u ..... last night?? .... hell ...... brilliant'. and they have the most ridicolous of ring tones, well they are probably

can i say it on here

CHAVS

Did anyone see the recent mini drama series?? Mobile???
