Dear Zena, we would never leave you out.
Just wondered who or what is it, or is it based on a self portrait.
Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

Dear Johnboy, when i used to be in the building trade when i was younger all the footings were dug by hand, i could dig them all day and never feel tired, so i got nicknamed the mole, so this hole digging comes quite naturally to me, of course those holes were a lot easier to get out of.
Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

finally sussed out how to do this! hurrah
I think it's a gargoyle......
I have a colleciton of them in my downstairs loo (don't ask why!)
It seemed to reflect the way I was feeling yesterday, which was grey and miserable, but I prefer thoughful and mysterious...
It may change tomorrow!
Herby, I shall treat you with the respect your great age and experience deserve and ignore your question!

My dear Zena, i feel so humbled by your kind forgiving nature, surely i don't deserve such forgiveness.
Zena don't do grey and miserable, lifes to short.
I hope you feel a bit happier now.
And who's been saying i'm experienced.
Dear Jopsy i knew you would have a rude Troll.
Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

All this talk about changing atavars has made me restless.
I've chosen this in honour of my most bonkers bantam (the hen that has decided to crow every morning - it's a long story played out in the Animals & Livestock section). She has been off lay for months now and the OH keeps muttering on about getting rid of non-productive chooks. I've named her in the hopes in saves her neck
Anyway, I'm such a little angel I think it suits me

Kind regards Old Herbaceous.
