This getting worse, my wellies are GREEN my girl!

Tim's not actually working or playing golf tonight, he's at his best mate's (best man)watching the football. I've been making more blackberry and apple jam and am now off to bed; I did have a very early start this morning.

G'night all. G'night Johnboy.

Chantal, can we hurl pickles or jams?
If so, can we hurl yours?
I don't want to carry mine that far.
Promise I'll take them out of the jar first.

I've booked a fitting at Chantal Mallett's for my maid of dishonour outfit, will a lime green rarra dress with pale lilca ruching and a diamante scattered highlighter orange hat clash with your jeans and wellies?
I can wear wellies with it if you prefer.

Peter,

You make me die laughing... I've got some rather fetching ankle length wellies with pink roses on.
RHS no less sweetie.....
If you think they'd 'set your outfit off' darling, you're MOST welcome to borrow. I'm sure you'd look GORGEOUS...

And I'm certainly amongst all your previous well-wishers Tim and Chantal, our very best wishes for a happy life together...

I don't see why you can't get married in jeans Chantel. The bloke up the road was Best Man for his sister and his idea of a new outfit was a new pair of jeans and a new donkey jacket!!!!!

I think late April or May is wonderful for a wedding. All the blossom should be out and it would be gorgeous. I also think a winter wedding can be so atmospheric.

Either way, any weekend fits in with me and I'll make sure Grock has her medication so she'll be easier to handle!!!!!

Peter, if you're wearing that, can I wear my acid pik, lycra all in one cat suit with my riding boots and crop? I'd hate to cramp your style

Peter, do you watch MASH? I think you're modelling your outfit on Klinger. NO NO NO! I think you should go back to that little outfit that I've always found so fetching; you know the one.

Jeans and wellies (or at least trainers if it's not raining) would be so nice and comfy (sigh), but I suspect my family and Tim would have something to say about it. I am NOT going to dress up like a meringue that is for sure.

For the record Tim is about 6ft, olive skinned, dark haired, slim and can wear anything and look good. I on the other hand am 5ft 3in, dark at the moment
( ) and far too wide. I also HATE getting dressed up. A marriage made in heaven methinks.

I've also just realised that we're going to have to ask his ex wife when we can get married! His younger daughter Grace is living with her in the USA at the moment and it'll have to be when she's in the UK for a holiday. Bummer.

Kind regards Old Herbaceous.

Theres no fool like an old fool.

P.S I'm not suggesting you go with nothing on by the way, heavens forbid.

Chantal, I was unable to repair that after the last tinme I wore it, remember?

I'll take up Wellie's welly offer and add a veil to cover the beard.

If you pay three crates of damson jam then I won't announce a just cause when the vicar asks.

If you pay me enough jam and pickles then I promise not to turn up during the ceremony and announce that I'm your long lost half-sister.

Oh rats, I'd forgotten about that; wax is SO hard to get out isn't it. Could the dry cleaner not do anything with it?

I think I'd better not tell you where the venue is going to be as it could be very difficult if you do turn up. I don't have that much jam to spare...

Oh, and I thought you'd know, veils don't mix with beards, it's a sort of velcro effect.

Congrats Chantal. I reckon a bouquet of Ruby Chard wrapped round white and purple sprouting broccoli would be just the thing for an early spring wedding and set the green wellies off a treat 8)

Sue

ps will the Lou-lou be available at the reception - you know how that sprout wine goes through one

Congratulations Chantal. You seem like a great person and I hope Tim appreciates what a fine future he's letting himself in for. More hands to the watering-cans no doubt.

Very best of luck

Thanks Mike :D

Seedling has come up with a brilliant idea that we harness Rocky up to pull a little a little cart in which Rosie can recline in luxury as they follow me down the aisle. I've not yet stopped laughing at the image in my mind.

I like the idea of the bouquet of ruby chard which I do in fact have quantities of but I'm not sure about the peep toed wellies.
