Mine seem to have died a death. All i've got is loads of male flowers, short leaders and lots of leaves!!!!

Maybe the Ikea bag wasn't such a good idea.
Lots of love

I'm getting worried about my pumpkin. It's flippin' huge and I have no idea what I'll do with it when it's ripe or even how I'll be able to move it.

I may have trouble measuring the stem as it goes round in circles and is all over the place. I'll try :?

Oops, sorry Peter!
We've got one biggun at the top of the plot, not measured yet, but doesn't look like being a record breaker I'm afraid despite all the love it's been given. There's another one doing well immediately adjacent to my manure heap - there were three as I hadn't really expected that plant to do well as the stem was split so didn't bother to restrict it - but two have suddenly gone all soggy and rotten.
Will try to remember to keep you posted!
Best wishes.
Jude

Mine's been estimated at around 50lb by another plot holder. I'm struggling to measure it due to the proximity of a gooseberry bush which assaults me at every opportunity. Is 50lb worth calling a giant pumpkin? It looks pretty big and will take at least two of us to shift it. :?

Sorry Peter

I feel duly chastised.

Mine all seemed to be male flowers and very few female flowers. The fruit that was set didn't do very well. Maybe it was the ikea bag that did it and it acted like a sauna and dried out the soil too fast. Will plant in the ground next time.

I gave some to Grocks husband so I will ask him how they got on and report back
Lots of love

Just to let you know Peterf that I harvested my pumpkin on Saturday and it weighed in at 35.5Kgs. I am sure there was a lot more growth in it but as it was the open day and we wanted to encourage as many people to take part it was deemed worth harvesting. It also was being attacked by weevils. Thank you so much for the seed - very much appreciated. Kind regards
