Wow, just perfect!

Sorry Westi, to be late getting back to you.
as above these are frequently called market traders' clips. I bought some locally and when the local shop ran out I bought some more online. Mostly I make hoops from MDPE water pipe (about 20mm), the grey is narrower and was discarded by someone else.
I think I have repaired the tear in the netting too!

Got a problem. The light of my life passed away some nine months ago. She dealt with Xmas/Birthday cards. Now getting loads of cards with just Christion names on them. Haven't clue who most of the are from.

That must be pretty tough, Shallot Man…..Cook does all our cards and I know I would have exactly the same problem!

It's a tough time but do you not have her address book? I recommend you keep the envelopes as this will help you match locations from the postal address, then with luck you can do a bit of detective work.

Sadly half of us will go through this.

Our Christmas card list has always been a bit bit of a marathon so three years ago I set up an Excel spreadsheet with names and Sent & Received columns every year to be ticked off as we never could remember from one year to another who,d we,d received from and sadly non receipt often means somebody has passed away.
Unfortunately our address list, with all the merging technology, went badly astray this year and printed address labels ran over their allotted label spacing so I think next year it will be back to the drawing board. What should have been a simplifying operation turned out to be anything but!

And how on earth do you cope when you receive cards with just a Christian name... We know several people called Joan, so which one sent the card? It does rather turn Christmas into a guessing game.

Not at all shallot man,I’ve always detested sending cards of any description, one of the many things myself and my wife did was own a corner shop , you would not believe the profit on cards ,we could buy a pack of 10 for just over a pound and put them on display for anything up to £3 each

No really primrose I’ve been retired a long time that apart I was only part time in the shop I still had a full time job

Prunings from the garden, decorations are ones I bought well over 30 years ago. I suppose the lights cost something; I bought them for the kitchen rebuild but they ended up as redundant.

Very festive Stephen. I needed cheering up today. It's been pouring with rain here much of the day and doesn't feel very Christmassy outside.
Nice to see some real berries. All those on our holly bush have already been stripped by the birds.
