Forgot to add, it's not weeds on my allotments, I prefer to call it green manure...

At work on the heavier ground it has been no go whilst at home it's green sand at 2' 6" down so trying to get on.
The field behind us was worked down but can't decide if they got it sown. There is a bit of a green haze in the distance over the hill top but not sure if that is crop emerging or just the land greening over. Oil seed rape fields look awful and where corn is up its very patchy...

I've covered my beds without crops with compost on top & then black plastic! Gonna let the worm's do my digging for me! It is deffo not no dig but less dig in spring when I uncover them!

Digging is impossible here on our clay due to the volume of rain we've had.

I've made things worse for myself by managing to do a prat fall walking the dogs!
Caught my toe on a manhole cover, tangled my legs and did an eight point landing, heel of palms, elbows, knees and feet. Some of the impact went up my left arm and has cracked one of the elbow ball-ends, plus done some other damage to muscles and joints thats limiting movement of the arm and reduced my grip in the hand.

Wet again here...not making a lot of progress on the land.

Yes, the wet is back here again too.
I was making some progress but my knees suggest it is definitely heavier going than our ground should be. Yesterday afternoon I pruned back the "snowball tree", that was heading out over our southern fence line, chopped up and in the green bin, only to read the next collection is Jan 30th.
Trying to make the most of these weeks to get as much done as poss' in the at home garden in an effort to make it a bit more like it was in the old days...

It seems like we have both suffered on the home front gardening over the last couple of years, Clive...let's hope this year is a good one.
