I take it the spit roast is Mr Piglet! not Pigletta!
A paper suit how very 1980's
Now which concert are you going to admit to last going to? Hmmmm.....

Yes, we spit roasted Piglet. Check out Lizzies Tea Party thread for details.

The last concert was U2 last June in Manchester. I saw Bono and the boys, in the flesh.

Woof

One of the highlights of my life as been a fan for 25 years. Was dancing with a bloke all night but never asked his name. How bad mannered of me. :o

He obviously wasn't good looking enough for you to care! :?
I wanted to see Beautiful South in Plymouth; but my mean sil has made her wedding (in Whitby) the same day-how inconsiderate!
I cannot recall my last gig! (was a while ago as nothing exciting happens in Deepest Darkest Devon)

Very inconsiderate.

My daughter wanted to see Slash and Bon Jovi but i've said no. Her Maths GCSE is the next morning so there's no chance of her going at all.

Aren't I a mean mum?

Well... no
Maybe a different band after her GCSE'S as a treat?at a more appropriate time?
I've got all this to come!
I'll be asking for tips!

After her exams. Definitely. She's organising a Band Night through school to help raise money for some of the girls to do World Challenge at the end of 6th Form. Guess who's roped in to do the food?

The school is supporting her idea and the money raised will go for their fundraising. They have to raise £3000 each for the trip.

Oh she definately deserves a treat!
That's a jolly good idea
She obviously has her mothers brains

Don't know about that. She certainly is motivated to do stuff so fair play to her. Even if she can be a complete pain in the watsit

Her hero is Slash cos she plays guitar and, according to her, Slash is the main man. I told her Edge was better

oh erm, I really wouldn't know I'm not a rocker!
I'm more into pretty boy pop bands myself
In fact the last band I saw was at Powderham Castle and it was Busted! I did play air guitar

Good for you. Nothing like a bit of Air Guitar to liven you up!!! :P

I'm not an all out rocker. I like other stuff too like classical and opera. I hate rap and r & b with a passion. I love Celtic music such as Clannad or Runrig too.

As for other stuff, I either like it or I don't.

Must confess I like a bit of whatever mood I'm in (music wise)
At the moment all I have are evil children's cd's in my player!
The air guitar began as air then we bought mini blow up ones-so sad!

Why is that sad? Wait till you buy the mirophone, drumkit etc under the guise of "it's for the children to play with"

Yep, until they go to bed. When Sian was 2 I bought her a drum kit, guitar and mike for Christmas. I tested it (obviously) for 3 hours then broke the snare drum. Spent 4 hours gluing the damn thing back together again

She is a rocker, a semi Goth and her friends are all Goths. They're all good kids though. So long as she's got the self confidence to express herself freely she can dress how she wants (as long as she's covered up properly!)

My sis was a goth
I think people need to express themselves and by dong it through clothing/hair styles etc isn't offending anyone else
Dh has already bought Lily technical lego for when she's a bit bigger :?

And he'll be testing it thoroughly to make sure it is completely suitable for her!!!

My mums still got original Macanno that my dad was saving until my brothers were old enough to appreciate it. They're 43 and 44 years old now

What are dads like!
He's already built some of it 'just to check all the pieces were there'
