I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find it. Will fleece protect against flea-beetle?

Apparently so if you get it on when you plant and there's none overwintering in the soil. I have some over a few rocket plants and it seems to be working just fine.

Yes, I can second that too. I find it very effective for all brassicas.
