I only use 6X on part of our domestic lawn where I pick-up, it's a lawn that I prepared on sub soil. First grit than sandy soil then as little as six inches of top soil at best. It's lovely and level and drains well but it doesn't hold nutrient very well. The 6X changes all that into a lustrous pitch-and-put green. (Artistic license)

Whilst on the subject of 6X, do you remember that I bought a sack of Marshalls 'Organic Extra' ? I'm not going to accuse Marshalls of any jiggery-pokery because they claim to have included sea-weed extract. The 'Organic Extra' is exactly the same texture, smell and use but it's twice the price.

Ask me if I'm a cynic. I think it's re-bagged 6X but Roger won't say.

That was a good idea that I started to work on though those likely-lads came up with the solution.

I spoke with son first he was going in all-sorts of directions trying to be helpful, then dad came on the phone. When dad came on the phone the English/Welsh was more Welsh than English and after spending half my life in Wales I have the respect to excuse myself.

Dad said, "Don't bother". He explained that the best I could expect from a drag-matt was clumps rather than trails of grass which is what happened when I used the willows.

I'm sorted, keep growing willow clumps. Amazing the uses I find for willow when I cut it down.
